Update – 28th June 2003, Buenos Aires
UFO WAVE OVER BUENOS AIRES?
Shortly before the start of June 24th (sic), an "intense
luminous sphere was seen over the region of Boedo, Amlagro, Chacabuco
(given the nature of the phenomenon it is possible that more people may
have seen it). Suddenly, a super-luminous sphere lit up at low elevation,
over the city's horizon, until it achieved a considerable brilliance. It
then began moving slowly eastward before vanishing a few degrees later.
According to my observation it is neither a satellite or aerolith, much
less given its low velocity. Several minutes later, anomalous points of
light appeared directly at the zenith of Chacabuco Park; a few minutes
later, another sphere lit up all of a sudden and moved eastward, also
extinguishing its light a few degrees
later. **The pertinent video sequences were recorded with a Sony camcorder
but unfortunately, problems with the wiring kept the images from being
recorded**.
At 20:35 hours, however, it was possible to record another sequence
showing an unclassified phenomenon. At 20:50 hours, there were further
pulses in the heavens. |

MORE MUTILATED CATTLE IN LA PAMPA |

On Wednesday, July 16, three calves and a cow were found mutilated in
fields - a cattleman whose property is located some 30 kilometers from
Genera Acha remarked:
"Until one sees it, or it happens to [ones animals], one doesn't believe
it.” Two calves and a 'masked' calf, weighing some 200 kg. each, were
found mutilated some 500 meters away from his house in a flat open field.
The males were missing an eye, an ear and their tongues, while the female
was had its nipples sheared off with surgical precision. When we found
them, they were still issuing some sort of smoke or vapour from their
carcasses, as though recently dead." All of the animals had their heads
pointed southward, I am certain that the animals had been alive the
previous evening. We did not dare get close to them or touch them, but on
the fourth day, no animal, predator, fox or vulture came close. We plucked
up our courage, got them together and burned them."
Another cattleman who told a similar story explained that that very same
Wednesday remarked:
"A very docile cow that was near the house vanished, and was later found
two sections away from where it normally grazed. These are 200 hectare
pastures" and that the mutilations on the cow were similar to those which
have been reported on so many occasions.
The cow was very docile and would have never jumped over the barbed wire
fences that divide the three sections, because the gates were properly
closed and no fence was broken."
In both cases, livestock farmers indicated that they did not file reports
with the police or with the courts, since they understood that such
complaints would not be taken seriously. |

The cattle mutilations
caper, which was brought to a close among some officials with the
explanation that the animals were attacked - after dead - by a strange red
mouse, continues to be a source of bewilderment in Valle Medio as
mutilated animals continue to appear.
Last Tuesday, personnel from the Sociedad Rural, a
veterinarian and a farmhand from a local ranch found a cow - showing
incisions similar to the ones seen last year.
The animal - they said - presented clear signs of
mutilation: it was missing an eye, its udders and its reproductive organs.
These had been removed with surgical precision and there were no tracks
near the animal that would enable determining exactly what attacked it.
," An astonished Enrique Sánchez of the Sociedad
Rural, stated:
"As a whole, whenever an animal
dies a natural death there is much kicking, or rigor mortis shortly
afterward, but there's nothing like that here. Another suprising factor was
that it was a young animal that was with its calf, but the calf did not
approach the carcass."
Veterinarian Carlos Montobbio added:
"The animal was found in the El Gualeguay ranch
belonging to Arsenio Ferrarino, a rural cattleman with years of
experience. But like his farmhand, who made the find, he has never seen
anything like it." |

Massive UFO sighted in Argentina
"A resident of" Necochea, a seaport city located 150
miles south of Argentina's capital,
Buenos Aires, was startled last night (Monday, August 7,2003) by a strange
flying object that covered the sky. She alerted her neighbour's to the
sighting. The sighting took place at 9:15 p.m. by a friend of hers who
lives in the Barrio Norte neighbourhood.
The startled woman defined the object as 'a flying saucer' but did not
provide greater detail on the surprising phenomenon. At the time the sky
was completely clear, and viewing conditions were optimal.

Mutilated Cows Discovered
Three cows mutilated in a "mysterious" fashion were
found yet again in the Valle Medio region mid-week.
A veterinarian mentioned the discovery of an animal very near a ranch in
the area known as Negro Muerto.
The animal was missing its tongue, an eye, udders and its genitalia.
This is the third case in a number of days. In the middle of last month,
in the location known as Chañares Altos, three cows were found--each
missing an eye and with their tongues cut. Several theories emerged last
year on the subject. From the purely specialized, scientific perspective,
some veterinarians, who in most cases did not see the discoveries for
themselves, stated that these were natural deaths and the mutilations were
the result of predator damage. Others insisted that a rodent was culpable.
These ideas clashed with the beliefs of certain local residents, as well
as those of professionals which have been unable to come up with a logical
explanation for these cases, even over time.

Patricio Lara was startled a few days ago when he developed photos taken
late last month in Paricanota province in order to have illustrations for
his website.
Beyond the spectacular
landscape, nothing unusual attracted his attention during his transit
through the zone. But a few days later, after his return to Santiago de
Chile, he began to look at the images obtained and realized that a strange
object in the sky had been recorded on one shot. The photo in question was
taken in the vicinity of Copaquilla, looking east over the canyon, on July
31 at 13:30 hours, when the sun was halfway in the sky.
He remarked:
“ We were taken to a lookout
called Mallku, from which Chapiquina can be seen in the distance. I found
that the landscape was beautiful, so I started taking pictures, panning
with a Nikon camera using an 80-200 mm lens and Fuji 100 ASA slide film."
According to his testimony,
neither he nor the people with him saw anything abnormal at the time, he
added: "Because I
would have otherwise taken more photos, since I was even carrying a 500 mm
telephoto lens which could have been used for greater detail. I only just
found out about the object when I developed the roll."
He checked the slide and the
other exposures to insure that it wasn't a defect in the film. He found no
abnormalities.
The image shows the pampa, the
Andean cordillera on a clear day, and toward the upper left, a rhomboidal
opaque form tilted to the left. Says the photographer: "calculating the
distance of the object and the proportions, it must have been 10 meters in
diameter."
LUMINOUS
OBJECT SEEN OVER EL AVILA, CARACAS (Venezuela)
CARACAS,
08.20.03---After midnight on Tuesday, August 20, 2003, while groups
opposing the government of President Hugo Chavez manifested their support
of a possible recall in the streets of Caracas, three persons were able to
witness the displacement of a luminous object flying over legendary "Cerro
El Avila"
The event was recorded at 12:30
a.m. when the three youths were headed to their homes located within the
El Pedregal sector of the La Castellana urbanization after watching the
fireworks used in the political demo, which had ended shortly before the
sighting.
According to one of the
witnesses, who preferred anonymity to avoid ridicule within his social and
professional circle, the object constantly changed colours and remained
suspended in the air for a few seconds before hiding behind the mountain
after a powerful "zigzagging" motion. |

Congress Acknowledges Importance Of UFO Research |
Chilean parliamentarians have acknowledged the
importance of UFO Research. Members of the Defence Committee of the
Chamber of Deputies
analyze the UFO problem for the first time in history.
VALPARAISO, Aug. 27 - Members of the Defence Committee of the Chilean
Chamber of Deputies analyzed for the first time ever information
concerning the UFO phenomenon. During its session yesterday, they heard
from representatives of the Comité de Estudio de Fenomenos Aereos Anomalos
(CEFAA) and the director of
the OVNIVISION Chile research organization.
The session was held on the third floor of the national congress building
and started after 18:30 hours with a presentation by Cristian Riffo,
director of OVNIVISION, whose opening words were that "UFO" is not
synonymous with "alien". "I wish to make clear that UFO is not synonymous
with aliens, Martians, or little
green men from Mars. UFO is an unknown phenomenon that cannot be explained
in conventional terms. Whether or not UFOs are alien in origin has not
been ascertained. But that is a subject for another discussion."
Later on, Riffo made known a series of cases involving pilots and air
traffic controllers. All of these cases involve
eyewitness reports. Events occurred at the Chacalluta, Tepual, Pichoy,
Tobalaba, Arturo Martinez Benitez, Cerro Moreno and El Loa events were
discussed. Riffo handed the deputies a 15-page dossier containing the
details of these events.
Ultimately, OVNIVISION's director asked parliamentarians to create a
multidisciplinary committee to study the phenomenon. "We believe that it
is necessary to create a Civilian Research Committee of the UFO
phenomenon, made up of an interdisciplinary team of researchers. Its goal
would be to perform a serious and detailed study of unknown phenomena in
the skies and seas of Chile."
Deputy Arturo Cardemil, chairman of the Defense
Committee, told
the media that the UFO phenomenon must be studied and that it has
sometimes distrupted the normal operation of air traffic operations. "We
must place ourselves at the level of the developed nations which have
established commissions to deal with this subject. We are not prepared to
deal with a contingency related to this subject," he said. |

Another UFO Sighted In Caracas,
Venezuela August
27th, 2003 |
Venezuela's UFO flap entered its second week with a new
sighting in Caracas, the national capital. Another sighting took place on
Wednesday, August 27, 2003. Sra. G. Gutierrez Lomas witnessed a strange
light which split in two at midnight (Wednesday, August 27th 2003) from
the El Silencio sector of downtown Caracas.
The light appeared to be moving from the La Candelaria sector to the
Ruperto Lugo sector, where it made a sudden inexplicable turn and made a
beeline for the now-famous Cerro El Avila mountain area, the site of the
first week's UFO sightings. |

Update Venezuela, Tuesday,

Luminous UFOs were seen again last week near Cerro El Avila, a
mountain on the outskirts of
Caracas,
the capital of Venezuela.
Sra. Ligia Peralta reported the sighting of a strong luminous object of
extremely large dimensions. The object flew over the barrio Ola Juliano
(neighbourhood) and then darted away and disappeared behind the
peak of
Cerro El Avila.
Sra. de Peralta saw the object at precisely
7:30 p.m.
At one point, the object descended to within eight meters of a house
located on the hillside. She described the object as 'generating a very
resplendent white light,' which spread across the residential zone for
several minutes before the UFO retreated behind the mountain.
Update Venezuela,
Saturday, October 25th,
2003,
At
2 p.m.,
five witnesses watched the aerial maneuvers of a circular black object,
which moved dizzily over the highly-populated area at the foot of Cerro El
Avila. In their reports, the witnesses stated that this object appeared
repeatedly
and
for a short time took on a linear form as it flew over the barrio La
Pastoran, also part of greater Caracas, before shooting off toward the
horizon.
Another witness, Srta. Raquel Rivero, spotted another UFO later the same
day over the Urbanizacion Mario Porezo. The young lady spotted the UFO at
6 p.m.
Raquel was waiting outside the Chacaito subway station when she noticed
the presence of an intense bluish-white light that was stationary in the
sky. She observed this object for a little less than 10 minutes, as its
luminosity gradually diminished and it finally disappeared from view over
Cerro El Avila. |

NEW CATTLE
MUTILATIONS IN THE PROVINCE OF CORDOBA
VISUAL REPORT
At the field known as "La Ranchada" near "El Naranjo", being leased by Ms.
Viviana Olivares, the date being the 28th day of October of 2003 and the
time being 1:00 hours, the undersigned met in representation of the
Circulo Ovnilogico Riocuartense in order to carry out a survey and
investigation arising from the discovery of a dead and mutilated bovine.
The site is an extensive canyon with an estimated depth of 25 meters from
the level of the local road that winds its way eastward, and which
naturally serves a channel for runoff . The canyon's width is of 9.30
meters on average and its surface is very damp as one progresses toward
the indicated watercourse. Almost halfway along said canyon, which
measures approximately 300 meters from south to north, there lay a female
bovine some 5 to 6 years old, mixed breed, black in color, lying on its
right side (seen from the rear) and showing the initial signs of
putrefaction and the presence of abundant maggots and foul smell. Said
maggots were found on the chest, udders, anus, under the left eyelid and
the presence of serum ejaculate is also present. The absence of the left
eye is evident, as well as the tongue, the ear, all of the head tissue,
particularly that of the jawbone. Looking inside its mouth, the cavity was
empty and the bones that constitute the head were completely free of
tissue. The tail, anus, vagina and udders are in their places
and there is no sign of missing organs or orifices on the animal's
carcass. The bovine's head is pointed eastward and its hind legs toward
the west. No signs of violence in the body or signs of agony prior to
death, such as kicking or rolling on the ground, were evident. There is no
sign of any type of blood outflow, nor visible wounds on the bovine's
body. To judge by the maggots, small pieces of hide have fallen off; upon
contact these patches turn to dust and give off a strong smell of
putrefaction. A more or less circular hole is evident where the left ear
was located; its edges are smooth and no tooth marks were in evidence.
Another element reported is that aerial predators avoid the body and
neither the other bovines nor the few dogs to be found in the area have
approached it either.
Measurements and photographs were taken and renderings of the site were
made. Without further to report, the survey was concluded at
18:30 on the day cited above.
The

INTERVIEW WITH MR. BERARDO
At the site, the acting researchers held a dialogue at
18:30 hours of
October
28th, 2003 with Carlos Elias Berardo, an Argentine national, 17, rural
employee who was asked about how he had come across the animal.
He
replied:
"I was returning on horseback from Las Albahacas along with Mr. Ramon
Olivares when we saw a fallen animal near the "El Naranjo". Upon
approaching, we could see that it was a mixed breed cow some 6 years in
age."
Upon closer inspection, they ascertained that it was missing its tongue,
left eye and ear. He was asked if some other particulars had been noticed:
"Nothing aside from what's been said."
When asked about the animal's position, he replied that its head was
pointed east and its hind legs west, and that the body was soft upon being
touched, leading them to believe that it had been dead for a short time.
Viviana Olivares, lessee of the property stated:
"I
didn't want to call the folks from the
University
of Rio uarto anymore, since they were adamant that these events are linked
to rodents."
Given that Ms. Olivares is convinced (or so it seems) that these events
are not the result of rodent action, since she has worked for four years
as a veterinarian's assitant in the province of Mendoza and professes to
know details which lead her to believe that other factors are at work
which elude logic. This she said
during the dialogue held in her home. The incisions that she has witnessed
in two other incidents on her field are clean and no tooth marks were
observed that could suggest the presence of rodents, dogs or predators. |

3rd November, 2003 UFO PRESENCE SEEN AND RECORDED |

A
journalistic team of the Canal America 2 'Informe Central' program saw
and recorded several UFOs at a location near Maimara and the images are
being shown on the Sunday edition of the program.
The experience was made known to Pregon by Alfonso Bidondo, who guided the
team to the site at which the contact event took place, only scant
kilometers away from Maimara and on the side of National Hwy. 9.
Bidondo, who has been devoted to UFO research for some years, claims being
able to establish telepathic contact with the crews allegedly aboard these
objects.
Bidondo claims:
"The folks from Canal
America
asked me to take them to see UFOs in order to film them and see if this
subject is real. I told them that indeed, my telepathic contact with the
vehicles led me to that spot in the early morning hours. We were at the
site and while they interviewed me, the vehicles told me that they were
about to appear behind me. We turned around and one of the vessels was up
above. They were very startled and managed to record it,"
The team - he detailed - was formed by producer Marcelo Peralta, host
Martin Ciccoli and cameraman Alfredo Ghilanda.
When consulted about the characteristics of the objects seen, Bidondo
described them as:
"A very big light that passed slowly above us and then vanished. It must
have remained for some 15 seconds and then disappeared. Then other lights
appeared. Then the sky clouded and we headed back."
Showing the videotaped images of the experience in La Quebrada, he
explained that some members of the news crew:
"still
couldn't believe it. It was the first time they had seen UFOs and it
seemed an impossibility. But then they became witnesses and were totally
amazed”.
Bidondo explained:
"Jujuy is in one of the most important places on
the planet as regards the UFO phenomenon because we are in a magnetic
"tube" through which craft transit [..] the atmosphere and electromagnetic
field in which northern Argentina is submerged is also an influence. The
UFO subject is taboo in Jujuy."
Bidondo revealed that at the end of the month, a camera crew from the
Infinito TV network will visit the area to produce a segment on the
experiences which have occurred here and regretted that residents of Jujuy
do not grant the phenomenon the importance it merits:
"When they hear these subjects mentioned,
people laugh because they don't have information, very serious treatment
is given to the subject in developed countries like the U.S. and the
European Union” |

UFOs OVER
CARACAS
Imposing and majestic, El Avila, a mythic mountain of dense jungles and
crystalline waterfalls, has become one of the sites of highest interest to
researchers, scientists, guides and curiosity-seekers, all of whom are
driven by the intense UFO activity which has emerged in recent years in
the mountain's vicinity, visiting it to glean greater information on the
development of this elusive phenomenon.
New UFO sightings over Cerro El Avila have been made from various
locations within the [Caracas]
metropolitan area. On
October 21, 2003,
Mrs. Ligia Peralta reported seeing a strange luminous object of large
proportions which was flying over the outlying sections of the "La Julia"
sector of Cerro El Avila in Caracas.
The event took place at approximately 7:30 PM while Mrs. Peralta was
making a phone call, leaning against one of the windows surrounding her
dwelling, located on the eighth floor of a residential complex east of the
Venezuelan capital. Peralta remarked that the strange object "appeared out
of nowhere" and was endowed with a very bright white light; it moved
around the area for a few seconds before vanishing from sight as it flew
over the mountain's summit.
In another report received, it was said that at 0:200 PM on October 25,
five people followed the manoeuvres of a circular object--black in
colour--which moved dizzyingly over a densely populated Caracas suburb on
the slopes of Cerro El Avila.
According to this report, two of the eyewitnesses stated that the object
"appeared suddenly" and moved quickly "in a straight line" and far above
the peak of a mountain adjacent to the "La Pastora" sector, also in
Caracas,
before losing itself between the clouds and vanishing from sight.
Likewise, in a third report received on Saturday, October 25, Raquel
Rivero reported on the manoeuvres of another object near Mount Avila, this
time from the "Mari Perez" urbanization.
The event occurred only a few minutes before seven o'clock. The witness stated that she was near the Chacaito subway station when
she grew aware of an intense "whitish blue" light which was static in the
sky, distinguishing itself from other heavenly bodies for its "great size
and luminosity". Finally, Rivero noted that after having observed the
phenomenon for no more than 5 to 10 minutes, it dimmed gradually until it
faded away before the startled eyes of the onlookers. |

Mutilated
Elk in Lincoln National Forest.
At about 1 PM, the witness was walking in the Lincoln National Forest and
came upon a dead elk lying in a shallow ravine. The elk was no more than
200 yards from our subdivision, and perhaps half a mile from my house.
There is a substantial elk population in the area, and sightings are not
unusual. The dead elk was a small one, the length perhaps 4 feet, and
weighing maybe 400-600 pounds. Rigor mortis was full and complete. There
was no evidence the elk had
been gutted by a hunter, as there was no apparent longitudinal incision on
the lower abdomen/chest area. The head had been removed, as if cut from
the body right where the neck joins the body, and the vertebrae stuck out
from the cut area about 6 inches or so, ending in a smoothly sliced
vertebrae.
The witness took photos that show the rectum of this elk has been smoothly
cored out. Further, the genitals have been removed, and there is no
obvious way to tell the sex of this animal. The removal of the genitals
could be attributable to
animals perhaps (we have mountain lions, coyotes, and bears) as the
removal does not appear to have been in such a clean, surgical fashion
upon my limited observation. The elk carcass is still on site for
investigation. |

Luminous UFO and Cattle Mutilations
Between
1 and 1:30 a.m. in the "El Patio de la Madera" sector of the city. The
luminous object travelled from west to east at a speed similar to that of
an airliner. Upon seeing the object, the eyewitness ran for his camcorder
but couldn't find a free tape, so he chose not to waste any more time and
used his digital camera. Rosario is less than 60 km from Victoria in the
province of Entre Rios, which is famous for sightings that involve lights.
The witness stated that a fisherman recognized the object and said that it
was identical to others that he had seen in the past over the same area.

Cattle Mutilation - Ufologists
investigating with more freedom! |

It looks like the cattle
mutilations in Argentina are finally over, or the press are no longer
interested in this subject. Taking advantage of this, some Ufologist are
investigating with more freedom. We received a report from a UFO group
that, for the reasons explained before,
wish to remain anonymous. This UFO group is working in co-operation with
some authorities, private corporations, as well with local veterinarians (
we keep the names on file).
They asked me to distribute
these new data, to find out if someone had documented the same fact or
statistics, outside Argentina, to compare it.
1) One of their associates, an
electrical engineer in charge of high voltage lines maintenance, working
with a power line map of Argentina and neighbouring Uruguay, found out
that almost all cattle mutilations occur in a 20 kilometre radius of the
power lines (132 KW). He would like to know if there is a similar study
being done in another country to compare it with.
2) They had interviewed three
separate eyewitnesses of mutilations, in three separate locations, with
the same experiences. One of them is a ranch foreman and the others are
farm labourer or "gauchos", similar to "cowboys" in North America. They,
like many others, quit their jobs in panic the day after their
experiences.
One of them observed, around
19:30 hours, on a clear and calm day, how suddenly a strong wind formed a
whirlwind. It did not hit the ground. The animals became nervous. He saw,
a year and a half old cow, start trembling in its hind-legs. Later, it
fell to the ground with no movement. The whirlwind ended and when he
approached the cow it was mutilated. He hide behind a tree some 50 meters
when the whirlwind mutilated the cow. The next day he quit his job in
panic.
Another witness said the cow
was dropped dead and mutilated by the whirlwind.
They did not experience
temperature changes, cold or hot, before, during or after the
whirlwind. The other witness didn't see his cow when the whirlwind hit it.
But heard its moo in the air. Later, it was found dead and mutilated on an
adjoining ranch. In this case, he said the sky was also clear and the
temperature around the 18 Centigrade.
In one of the cases, a three
meters circle marked the ground where the cow was mutilated and found.
Inside the circle the grass was dry, a different colour than the rest.
At this moment, they are
trying to locate others farm-labourers who quit their jobs after witnessing
mutilations, and local press publicity could jeopardize their
investigation since most, if not all, "gauchos" evade it.
