ANIMAL MUTILATIONS A GLOBAL PHENOMENON

Chile - January 28th, 2004

Mayor of San Jose de Maipo states:

40% Of Locals Have Seen UFOS In The Cordillera

In January alone over 10 UFO sightings have been reported. No one knows why the appear, but the fact is that strange lights cross the area regularly, to the extent that residents of Cajon

del Maipo consider it a normal occurrence.

SANTIAGO, JANUARY 28 - So frequent are the sightings of phenomena over the skies of Cajon del Maipo that local residents consider it part of their daily routine. Oscar Farias lives in

the Las Vertientes sector and both he and his wife Maritza Valero have repeatedly seen UFOs in the Pre-Cordillera:

"We've seen truly surprising spheres and flying saucers. Only two weeks ago, with my cousin and around 8 am, we saw a silver saucer in the El Alto del Canelo sector, moving at average speed and losing itself in the west."

Patricia Aros, 37, works for a service corporation and claims having seen strange lights in the higher reaches of Cajon del Maipo on a regular basis:

"Its common to see large and small lights moving over this area. I no longer fear them. We aren't alone in this immense universe and if these otherworldly beings wanted to harm us they would've done so already. I think we should be mentally prepared for what is going to happen in the future. Who knows if tomorrow human civilization will definitely establish contact with beings from other worlds?"

So recurrent is the phenomenon that even San Jose de Maipo's current mayor, Miguel Marquez Olivares, witnessed a "film worthy" close encounter when he was literally assaulted by a UFO:

"On that occasion I was in the Del Ingenio sector driving my pickup truck with my family anda  group of friends when we suddenly saw an oval shape vehicle issuing multi-hued lights of great intensity as it hovered over the hills. Suddenly, in a matter of seconds, the strange object took off and hovered above us, killing my truck's engine. It lit up a radius of four kilometers with an intense white light which could be seen as far off as the town of San Gabriel.  The experience was truly intense even though it lasted no more than a minute, because from one moment to another the light shut itself off and the phenomenon vanished."

According to the functionary:

"40% of the locals have seen UFOs over the Andean Cordilelra, or rather, have had experiences involving strange-looking lights and craft. Even the drovers discuss their furtive encounters with scintillating luminous phenomena that frighten the cattle and horses alike."

Update: Argentina, Buenos Aires23rd March 2004

An Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) was reported this morning in the vicinity of the coastal highway of the Argentinean capital.
Several eyewitnesses claim having seen a luminous object that changed colours incessantly and flew over the River Plate (Rio de la Plata). This object was followed by a second one that vanished a few seconds later. Subsequently, witnesses claimed having seen it over the town of Morón.

Update: Venezuela, March 8th, 2004

A large intensely luminous green object, with blue 'windows or portholes' along the side, was seen flying over San Antonio de los Andes" in Venezuela's state of Miranda. People living in the barrio Urbanizacion Los Castores" in San Antonio de los Andes, located about 600 kilometers (360 miles) southwest of Caracas, the national capital, "saw a strange green light streaming through their windows.  Curious about the phenomenon, they ran outdoors.  Once they got outside, they saw the green UFO crossing the night sky overhead.  The sighting lasted for several minutes" before the object disappeared over the Cordillera de Merida

Update: Mar De Ajao, Argentina, March 28th, 2004

Ufologist Ruben Mansilla reported:

"There was an event here in Mar de Ajo" in Argentina.  "A local resident named Roberto Garcia took
some photos with his digital camera and left them at the camera store."
When the images were printed out, they showed a daylight disc in the partly cloudy Argentinean skies.
"Upon doing so, my friend called me (Mansilla) immediately since he knows of my interest in these things."

April 27, 2004, Argentina - Another Sighting in The Chalchaqui Valleys

Shepherds Feared UFO Abduction

The terrifying story was told by Julio Rafael Espinosa, 39, a farmer of the La Poma region, who two weeks ago - in the company of his two sons and an elderly shepherdess, witnessed one of so many luminous apparitions at Quebrada de Orozco, some 20 kilometers away from the aforementioned community in the

Chalchaquí Valleys.

"On that night, around 20:30, we were waiting on National Highway 40, which links La Poma to San Antonio de los Cobres, for the merchandise truck that passes by a few times a week bringing novelties with it and supplies," the man recalled as he hugged one of his sons. Espinoza added:

"We were with my two boys, ages 6 and 9, and with Grandma Braulia, 82, a sheperdess who is a neighbor of our stand in the Sauzalito area, when suddenly, a luminous object appeared out of the slopes of the Nevado de Cachi, flying at low altitude and zigzagging."

According to the humble farmer's testimony, the large object's luminosity increased and diminished in the measure that it approached the point where the group observed the phenomenon at the edge of the road, surrounded by the mountainous massifs of La Poma. Espinoza says that they were perplexed and nearly frozen by the situation until the UFO stood over their heads, which was the time of greatest luminous intensity emanating from the vehicle.

"It lasted only an instant. It was motionless in the air, some fifty meters above us and its white light would become yellowish. It had no shape... it was like an enormous, refulgent mass," he recalled.

The shepherd said that after a few seconds,  the object lost itself swiftly among the northern hills in the vicinity of the location known as Punta del Agua. "The UFO came from the area of La Poma and the entire event lasted some three minutes, from the moment it appeared, stood over us, and vanished. After that, we remained waiting for the truck, didn't say anything to anybody, and left. The next day Grandma Braulia told me that that wasn't the first time she'd seen a similar phenomenon in the area. Before that I though I was the only one who had seen so many flying objects. However, many more locals have witnessed this

phenomenon," the man said.

Espinosa, a privileged eyewitness to this new sighting, had already witnessed similar events, such as one last December as he travelled in the company of six people aboard a bus on the Tin Tin highway.  On that occasion, he managed to see lights similar to those of a UFO on the ground in middle of Los Cardones National Park. But on that occasion, Espinoza claims having seen some aliens descending from the craft and who appeared to be taking samples of the soil or shrubs growing in the region.

Somewhat more confidently, Espinosa dared to reflect that "this area appears to be used by these strange devices as a passageway to the Cordilleran reagion, because it's surrounded by large massifes and the basin of the Chalchaquí River could serve as permanent means of communication toward the Andes."

Cow cut, drained in Arborg Mutilation mystifies

 By Natalie Pona

Staff Reporter

An Arborg cattle farmer made a horrific discovery Monday when he found the partially skinned carcass of one of his animals that was missing its tongue and apparently drained of its blood.

"The whole thing has turned out to be more sinister than I thought," said Yvonne, a neighbour, who examined the mutilated animal. She asked not to have her last name used to protect her family.

"What sort of weirdos have we got travelling in our neighbourhood?"

Gordon, who would only allow The Sun to print his first name, said he discovered the carcass on his farm Monday afternoon.

"I don't really want to speculate on what happened. I know what I saw," he said, adding he is still shaken up by the find.

Arborg is 100 kilometres north of Winnipeg.

COW MUTILATIONS

The mutilation happened Saturday or Sunday night, Gordon said. No one heard anything. He's heard of several cow mutilations in the area over the past few years, Gordon said. He called the RCMP, reporting that the animal had been attacked by a predator. He has since changed his mind about the cause.

"It was definitely a sharp object used," he said.

Arborg RCMP Cpl. Glenn Syme said he has never investigated an instance of cattle mutilation. The RCMP did take a call this week about a cow being attacked by a predator, likely from Gordon.

SKIN PULLED FROM FACE

The animal was found with an incision under its chin. The skin had been pulled from the face, exposing the teeth.

"It's not the gore, we've seen that before, it's the evil behind it," Yvonne said. The tip of the animal's tongue, cut from its root, was placed in the mouth, she said.

"There's not a drop of blood in that animal. The only way you can drain an animal of blood is (to cut into it) with the heart still pumping," Yvonne said.

The cuts were very precise, as if made by a surgeon, she said.

"You don't know who you're dealing with ... the average wild and woolly neighbourhood brat wouldn't be capable of doing it," she said.

Gordon and Yvonne called Fern Belzil, an Alberta-based investigator of unexplained deaths who has been studying cow mutilations for eight years, for help.

Belzil has studied 100 cases, two-thirds of which remain unexplained.

"I'm not saying it's aliens ... a lot points towards aliens but there is no proof," he said.

Belzil said he has never encountered any evidence pointing to who or what is killing cows.

"It's a real mystery," he said.

South American UFO Flap Continues!

UFO Crash in Venezuela?

An unidentified flying object crashed last Saturday, May 15, 2004, in the vicinity of the Raul Leoni Hydroelectric Station," located in a remote jungle region of southeastern Venezuela.

The hydroelectric station is at Guri Dam, at the north end of the man-made Lago de Guri. The dam in on the Rio Caroni, 100 kilometers (60 miles) south of the Rio Orinoco at Ciudad Bolivar.

The accident, which occurred during the early hours of last Saturday, was witnessed by workers at the dam and took place to the northwest of that location. Stringent security measures were immediately undertaken by" soldiers

of Venezuela's Guardia Nacional, "who proceeded to cordon off the area."

Further north, in Puerto Ordaz, residents saw low-flying black helicopters cross the overcast sky, heading south towards the dam. "The presence of U.S. personnel was also observed, a common feature in all (South American) crashes involving UFOs."

It must be noted that the Seismology Unit" at the university in Caracas, Venezuela's capital, "reported movement at the time of the crash, a detail reminiscent of the Roswell, New Mexico incident of (July) 1947."

With regard to an alien presence, no reports have been received at this time."

Access to the crash site has been highly complicated due to the torrential rains at the site during this time of year.

However, accredited personnel of Proyecto Orion went to the site on" Wednesday, May 19, 2004 to investigate the reported crash and to collect eyewitness testimony.

White UFO seen in Ubate, Colombia

David Lopez, in spite of his long experience as a photographer, was never able to take a shot of the (Roman Catholic) Basilica Menor of Ubate, a city in Colombia, a municipality in which he has lived for 25 years.

Lopez wanted to capture an image of the cathedral's dome framed by a colorful rainbow. "It would make a lovely postcard, he thought."

On Monday, April 26, 2004, "as though a gift from above, the multihued rainbow appeared over the church. It was Monday and the time was 5 p.m. Armed with a digital camera, placed over a heavy jacket, Lopez headed towards the city's central plaza and fired about 3 or 4 shots with flash, without sighting anything unusual occurring, until he ran into his friend, Jaime Jaramillo, who said, 'I'll buy one later on.'"

The surprise came afterward. When David opened the image file in his computer, “a small white dot" appeared in the scene, "just to the left of the rainbow, and then appearing on the right.

The dot, as he opened one file after another, acquired red and violet hues.
“When I took the photos, I never saw anything like that. They were simply there on my computer screen”, he said excitedly.

Lopez, who claims having seen UFOs when he worked as an air traffic controller at El Dorado International Airport, near Bogota, the national capital, isn't the
only one to speak of UFOs. The fact is that there are plenty of eyewitness accounts to go around.

Sra. Dolores Cruz, a former nurse in the municipality, claims that a few days after Lopez took the photo she saw 'something very strange.'

“On the evening of (Monday) May 3 (2004), after I'd finished praying the rosary on the terrace of my house, I saw something like a balloon about to collide with the church steeple. Then it remained still, suspended in mid-air. It passed over the Telecom tower and accelerated so much that I was no longer able to see it”, she said.
Another eyewitness account came from the town notary Jorge Castellanos, who also claims having seen 'an oval shape' crossing the skies. Aliens? Who knows? The fact is that these towering structures, such as the demolished Twin Towers the Egyptian pyramids, the Greek Acropolis of the Eiffel Tower have always had tales of spaceships prowling in their vicinity...and thus, Ubate now has its own.

UFOs seen at Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico

On Wednesday, May 5, 2004, Mr. Aguirre, a fisherman and a resident of Cabo Rojo, P.R. reported seeing 'strange lights' entering and leaving the sea" just offshore from the south-western corner of Puerto Rico.

The luminous UFOs were also "seen over the cliffs near the famous Cabo Rojo lighthouse at night. And now an investigation by Proyecto Argus revealed that many residents who have visited the site have experienced odd sensations and certain types of 'paranormal energy' as though there were something else at that location.

The UFO group's on-site investigation showed evidence of what could be termed remains of spiritual or witchcraft trabajos."

What is worth noting out here is that many people claim having had unusual experiences in the vicinity of the (Cabo Rojo) lighthouse, giving rise to the belief that this is an area of intense paranormal activity.

Chile,June 29th, 2004 Punta Areana Area

A strange luminous object was seen in the skies of the capital city of Chile's 12th Region, Punta Arenas. According to eyewitnesses, the Unidentified Flying Object frequented the skies of the city for five days, being seen in various locations. Radio Polar, the local radio station, had its telephone switchboard collapse due to the volume of calls received from witnesses to the phenomenon.

The Office of Aeronautics reported that it lacked official records on the strange luminous bolide, making it clear that it was neither an airplane nor a helicopter. They did not, however, confirm that it was a UFO.

Alfredo Vera, correspondent for Radio Polar, managed to take photos of the object from the Soñadores lookout over the city, where a large number of people had gathered to watch the strange object and its irregular movements, which were foreign to those of any known object.
It should be noted that the Magallanes Region and the city of Punta Arenas have been the site of important UFO-related events, the most significant being the one of June 1968, when two pilots of Aerolineas Argentinas witnessed a "flying saucer" over Punta Arenas. According to the pilots and 18 passengers aboard the plane, the object had the characteristics of a shiny red cylinder that moved swiftly, like nothing seen before. Likewise, incredible film footage was obtained in 2003 showing 3 UFOs separating and joining near a Chilean military base. This video was made known by AION's correspondent in the 12th Region, Carlos Munoz.
This sighting in Chile's southern regions can be added to others reported in the country in recent days, such as the one over the cities of Lanco and Petrohue on June 15, and the incredible Ovalle sighting on the 19th of this month.

Chile,June 29th, 2004 Punta Areana Area

Drivers halted their vehicles to get a better look at the phenomenon Strange object paralyzed residents of Punta Arenas. The object was seen at first light at Tres Puentes, to the north of the city A colored sphere crossed the southern skies. Experts say it could be a planet or optical illusion. A luminous sphere sailed slowly across the skies over Punta
Arenas as it changed colors, bringing the capital city of the 12th Region to a standstill. Many drivers pulled over their vehicles to observe the strange phenomenon, resulting in traffic jams and causing people to be late to work. Others chose to climb nearby hills to get a better view.

Local radio station "Radio Polar" began getting calls from its listeners at around 6 a.m., reporting the strange unidentified object. Some even said the object had been visible for five days in a row. "A gentleman phoned in from Tres Puentes, in the north, saying that there was a light that shone intensely. This was the first call at aroung 6:30 a.m.. Then people kept calling," says Claudio Vidal. "People spent a long time watching the phenomenon. Folks working at the fisheries phoned in, and since they usually get home before dawn, they said that the light has been seen over that same area for five days straight," Vidal added.

"It's highly unusual," remakrs Alfredo Vera, Radio Polar's announcer. Vera was given the task of following the object and reported his experiences in three morning dispatches. He also managed to photograph the spehre from the Soñadores Lookout, where a large contingent of earlybirds had gathered to discuss the sighting. "The were startled, because the luminosity was quite intense and the object moved slowly. They said that it couldn't be something like Jupiter, which could be the nearest thing to it, "says Vera. The journalist added: "It didn't scare me, but I did get goosebumps, because it was very weird."

In order to worsen his doubts, the initial photos taken did not come out. "Out of 14 I managed to recover 4. It's remarkable that when I focus on the object, I see an image that resembles a chewing gum from a Christmas Tree, but then it fades and is replaced by a point of light. The photo shows a burning ball, something red, green, blue, " he explained.

Despite the sensation caused by this sighting, experts from the General Office of Civilian Aeronautics (DGAC) say it could be "a star or an optical phenomenon created by light refraction."

UFOS Reported in Llay-Llay

The Center for the Study of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena (CEFAA) of the General Office of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC) shall study the strange aerial phenomenon reported at 7:20 a.m.
Several UFOs flew and executed pirouettes before daybreak yesterday some 60 kilometers northeast of Santiago, in the vicinity of Llay-Lkay and Las Chilcas, where they were photographs by Juan Serey, 37, who was driving a pickup truck toward the capital.

The witness told La Cuarta that he has spent 9 years driving the same route from the north along the highway on a weekly basis, and had never seen anything like this.

"It was incredible. I was driving southward when I suddenly noticed several powerful lights moving swiftly and hanging in the sky. It was spectacular," remarked the mechanical engineer. The phenomenon lasted approximately 10 minutes, which gave him enough time to whip out his Sony Cybershot 3.2 megapixel camera, using it to take several photos which are published in La Cuarta today.

"The lights were suspended some 50 meters over the mountaintop. A large light opened up and seven or ten would gather. They adopted various shape, fell out of order, would rearrange themselves together and then one of them took off skyward at a prodigious speed, zigzagging as it went, vanishing in a matter of seconds," said Juan, who shall be submitting the photos shortly to persons who study the subject.

Residents of Peñalolén also heard about strang flying objects yesterday. At first light, ChileVision Noticias presented a home video recorded Monday afternoon, showing an odd light glowing through the fog as it changed shapes. Ufologist Alberto Urquiza was one of the first to analyze the images.

"To my understanding, based on a preliminary analysis, it appears to be the sun reflecting on a piece of glass, a glass roof or a sunscreen."

In any event, the researcher said: "I am heading to the area to speak to witnesses and to make recordings by daylight, without the fog. Then we will be able to establish what was causing the reflection."

Argentina, Buenos Aires, 5th July 2004

On Monday at 7 p.m., "several self-luminous UFOs, of a potent magnitude with blue and white tints, flew from the east, the Rio de la Plata, to the northeast, over the Avenida Nueve de Julio, and to the barrio Santa Fe," in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.

According to Argentinian ufologist Ricardo E.D'Angelo, "numerous objects" were seen in the northern part of the city, "from the dome of El Congreso (the

Capitol building--J.T.) all the way north to the Rio Parana.  I received reports from other Ufologists in the northern part of the city, notably Carlos Turus and Daniel Valverdi, and they reported the bright objects over both

the Rio de la Plata waterfront and the residential neighbourhoods of Santa Fe.  They described the event as 'a truly strange phenomenon.'"
